By God’s Design

When I saw Brittney’s kit Grunge Around, I knew just the set of pictures I was going to use for this.   I have another kit that I am going to show some layouts from a little later with Kade and his trampoline - but I also needed one for our family album - and this one was so perfect!  The font is salvation.  On the first layout I did use an edge from Gettin Edgy by Royanna - but everything else in the layouts below is from Brittney’s Grunge Around kit.  You can see more layouts that Brittney did on her blog linked above and in my sidebar.

Isn’t that kit just awesome!?!  You can get it at Pretty Scrappy or Studio Style Designs.   I am the luckiest CT Member in the world.  I get to work for some fabulous designers (Brittney’s CT Call is still open with a very cool CT CAll kit freebie I’ve already blogged about by the way!) - it’s hard to always know what to pick from when I get to sit down to do some layouts.  So, I’ve been lucky this week with some extra time - as my health allows - to work on some layouts.  So, I get to show off some fabulous kits for some great designers!  That is all for tonight though - I have another designer I have some layouts I am going to be featuring here in a day or two that I had so much fun with her grab bag stuff - it’s hard to stop because I keep thinking of more stuff I can do with it!  lol!  I’ve already posted some layouts from her grab bag already - around NSD!  I have more!!!!  Then, I have a couple more designers that I haven’t posted anything for yet - that I will have posted this weekend I hope - or soon after!  AND I have more layouts I haven’t posted from Brittney yet!  Her Stars collection provided a great resource for a series I did for my kids called “On the Go” that I will post soon and I am working with her new CherryBerry kit right now on some fun layouts!

Okay, I am going to show off now - some layouts I’ve done with some awesome, versatile kits.  This set of layouts I did utilizing Xandra Martin’s Summer Sorbet kit!  I have posted one layout before from this kit - Kade’s Joy.  Here are two more I did.

This one is  “Daddy’s Girl.”  Maycie loves hanging out with her Daddy - she loves weird stuff like her daddy - like sitting in front of or under fans or having the wind blow on her. . . and remotes… though her Daddy did eventually grow out of the stage of trying to eat them!  hehe  He is really hoping she grows out of that stage, too!  The font is Rhumba Script.

The following is a layout I did by blending in one of my favorite photo’s of “My Guys” into a beautiful paper from the same kit and adding a couple of elements from the kit and blending them in using the luminosity setting to make a monochromatic page - one of my most favorite techniques.

Okay - quick reminder! Open CT Call - and if you are interested in learning about a successful Scrap 4 Hire business, how to do it, and even possibly pick up some sub-contract work from me - you need to be on my CT team. It will be the only place the training will be available for free - AND I will only sub-contract to people on my CT team - and the subcontracts for layouts will be paid in actual money! Working out details - but need to get that word out there! My business is picking up and I am going to need to build a team to help me out by next fall! So, check out the details of the CT call! AND you can be on my CT team without taking on sub-contract work - that will be optional and at my discretion!

My upload issues are not fixed yet - but I just left this one to go last night when I went to bed - and it finished about the time I got up this morning! argh! Yes, I am behind but the woes of technology have had me distracted. So, I don’t have a freebie yet - you’re not as frustrated as I am - believe me! So, you get to be subjected to another layout of mine - but to add to variety - you get to see a layout of another CT member of mine!

So, here’ s mine. I know I’ve already blogged about Brittney once today. You know, with all that free press, I should wrangle a few kits out of it in exchange, huh? hehe Anyway - I blogged about her BEFORE I saw her new post today - she is having a CT Call. And giving away this fabulous kit! So, go check it out. But hey now! You have to apply for a CT position with me if you apply with one for her - deal? Okay - but you gotta way until you see these layouts first, kay?

Don’t you just love that kit she used! Meet Leaonna! Not the cat- the CT Member! Sox is the cat’s name for those of you not keeping up. Leaonna made my day when she sent me this layout tonight. She’s been so kind and patient with me to listen to my technical woes! She also is patiently waiting for me to upload some stuff into her store! I also have a layout I am not quite finished with yet that has some of HER stuff on it that is really cool. I’m in that new store with empty shelves at the moment - pretty cool blinkie with lots of bling in my sidebar that says “Busyscrappin”. That is Leaonna’s store and I met her through a design group and she has just been the best! I’m glad to know her. And honored that she would want to be on my CT team!

There’s that Laughin Zebra again! Is that not just the most fantastic kit? It is so fun! So, pick up that kit - ummm - Leaonna would prefer I say “next week” instead of today because “today” would only offer you one choice - the store that is NOT hers! hehe So, as long as you remember to come back - you can purchase it next week - and I’ll remind you anyway. Or, you can go to SSD and purchase it now!

Okay… I’ve had a big day - so I’m actually going to bed early. I know - hard to believe! But I am wiped! Too much stress and excitement today - oh yeah! I also won $10 today on the PC Layers blog to spend in their store next week! woohoo! What would you choose? I can’t decide!

Oh dear, my subject Title!  Any mom’s know what I’m quoting now?  Anyone?  Anyone?  BLUE!  Blue’s Room - oh my son loves Blue’s Room!  And now I’m quoting what I’m hearing in my head all the time, “Well, hello there!”  I was supposed to be back long before now with freebies - I have some awesome treats for you - if I could just get them uploaded! I have been in the throws of a technology nightmare in the past 24 hours.  I started out trying to fix one issue - my uploads are too slow 3.1 KB/s.  My ISP is clueless - but working on it.  I think it’s something simple in my laptop configuration because my desktop worked fine.  But I have no idea what setting that would be.  Well, through the process of them trying to “help” they locked me permanently out of the server my blog is hosted on - so today, my hosting company just moved my blog to another server and I’m back in business - finally!  And also, my ISP trying to help - and I have no idea how or why or anything - but CRASHED my PSE - and I mean obliterated it.  I had to uninstall it - just a re-install did not work.  I had to uninstall and re-install.  And the first time, that did not work either!  I had to do it TWICE!   So, after midnight last night, I fixed my PSE and just now, my blog came back online… still upload issues!

I have some AWESOME digitreats for you - but can’t get them uploaded just yet… sorry!  So, I’m working on something pretty special for you that I think you’ll like - and maybe it’ll be a file small enough I can get uploaded and get it out sometime this century!  hehe

So, meanwhile… I do have some news I can finally share with you!  I am on the CT Team for Xandra Martin Designs!  I am so excited.  I’ll have a new blinkie soon - she’s no longer at Moo Two Designs.  She is at SSD!  She did like 3 kits in 3 days!  And they are all awesome!  I chose to work with Summer Sorbet first - and there are two others I am anxious to work with - so I’m going to get my layouts and posting done for Summer Sorbet and I’ll be back with more for you later.  And my fingers keep wanting to spell her name Alexandria!  argh!  I’ve got to go edit a layout somewhere! hehe

This is one of my favorite pictures I have of my son, Kade.  This was the first time he got to play in his new backyard after we moved into our house from an apartment!  He loves the outdoors!  I think this picture captured his complete joy in the moment!  Everything here - except the picture of course - is from Summer Sorbet - so go get your own Summer Sorbet today!

We haven’t met personally yet - and Amarillo is small enough there’s really no excuse - so we may have to do something about that soon, huh? You will see Becky’s cute grandkids in her layouts when she has them. She has actually agreed to be my Preview Layout person - woohoo! Wow! Did I ever need that! You can find out a lot more about Becky if you visit her blog - and you’ll see I have her blog in my blogroll - and don’t worry - I’ll soon have a separate category over there for all my CT members - but right now she is the Becky in the blogroll - easy to find - no blinkie! (Will someone have pity on the gal and create a blinkie for her? I would but I am clueless - I had to hire out to have mine done!)

Hi all! Okay - I am busy, busy - but I have to take a break and do some personal work every once in awhile to keep my head in things.  And here is what I did.

I do want to introduce you to one member of my CT Team already.  She’s already off and running hard at work!  I recruited her out of a gallery.  Before I even had a CT call, I knew I wanted her on my CT whenever I decided to put one together.  I kept bumping into her over at Scrappin Freestyle and then some other galleries.  She was always commenting on my layouts and her layouts always stood out and grabbed my attention as well - and she was scrappin’ with some of the same kits I was!  So, I am excited to introduce Janie to you.  Janie does not have a blog -but she has some fantastic galleries to take a look at - so I will post them at the end - and if I forget - you remind me, okay?
